Dalia needed a new e-commerce website to handle her expanding product list of over 5,000 dresses. Her website was not built in a friendly CMS system and she had great difficulty adding products or changing the website. Search engine results were also weak, and she was spending large amounts on Google Adwords to make up for this problem.
Process
After a few discussions with Dalia, we had a clear idea of the features she would need on the new website. In addition to a full e-commerce integration, the site would also include;
Once we had all website goals clarified, we considered our SEO strategy. The website would be built so that individual designer pages and individual product pages would be highly visible in search engines. We focused on keywords for specific landing pages and ensured that as we built out the site, structural issues on each page took SEO best practices into account.
Next, we built the site in a Joomla framework. Then we worked with Dalia to develop the e-commerce integration, figuring out solutions for payment methods, shipping methods, taxes, and other specifications. We built the product pages to highlight the dresses, since visuals are so important for her product line.
Once the site was built, we met with Dalia several times for website training. This training allowed Dalia to easily manage her product line and her site content. With additional training on SEO, Dalia was empowered to proactively manage her website. Moreover, with a number of user-centric features like the blog, she was able to reach her customers effectively.

After about 2 weeks, the benefits of our SEO campaign really started to take off, more than doubling the average number of search engine visitors. Our strategy of targeting individual designers and dresses has paid off as well. Here is a sampling of current Google search page results for key terms:
